The local value is practical. Santa Barbara's sheriff site does not publish a public 24-hour or 72-hour recent-release feed in the official sources reviewed. That makes VINE more important as an alert layer when a person may be released or moved. It still remains a notification source, not the final release record.

VINELink fields depend on the participating agency feed and the current interface. Use the result as a custody-status notice. VINELink is not a replacement for the originating record. When VINELink Says Released
A released result usually means the reporting custody status changed. It does not explain every legal effect of the release.
